In this course, you will learn how to purposefully audit your standards according to ISO 19011:2018. This is a very practical and interactive training, where we alternate theory and audit skills with real-life case studies (whether in the Phronesys application or not). A nice mix of theory and practice.
The following topics are covered:
- We delve into the theory of the ISO 19011:2018 standard: this is the guideline for conducting audits of management systems. Here you will get an introduction to auditing and learn how to conduct an audit and what skills you can use to do so.
- You will learn what to look out for when planning audits, and how to easily develop an audit programme using Phronesys.
- Preparing for an internal audit by smart use of templates.
- You will learn to audit management systems to see if they meet the standards requirements, if they are thoroughly understood by employees and if they act according to the rules laid down. This includes interview techniques.
- The best way to report your audit results in an understandable way - and then follow them up to continuously improve.

Who is it for?
Phronesys' training course "Internal auditor: theory and practice" is intended for people who (will) perform audits within their organisation or are involved in the design of audit procedures and/or their organisation. This training offers beginning auditors a solid basis for properly preparing, conducting and reporting on an internal audit.
This programme is also highly suitable for auditors with experience in performing internal audits. Besides refreshing your theoretical knowledge, you learn the best way to apply your internal audit process (whether or not in the Phronesys application).
During the training, the situation and background knowledge of the participants are taken into account as much as possible. Where possible, the trainers respond to the situation within the participant's organisation and to the standards applicable to the participant.
