What is an executive evaluation?
Management commitment and leadership are a must to implement an effective management system. This is because they define the mission and vision of the organization. Therefore, it makes sense that a management system should be appropriate to the organization's purpose and support its strategic direction.
The management review is a way to get the show executive involvement. It is a time when the management meets and reflects on the functioning of the organization and consequently the management system. Indeed, there may be certain developments or changes within or outside the organization that require adjustment of the policy and/or associated objectives.
How to conduct an executive assessment.
Plan early. An executive review requires good preparation. Data must be collected, agendas must be juxtaposed to find a time, ... Starting on time is the message!
Use a good agenda as a guide. The standard describes the inputs of the management review. These can be used perfectly as a guide during the meeting. Be careful not to stick frenetically to these, but also leave room for additional points.
Make a clear report. The standard does not prescribe a particular way of reporting. This can be a report, a powerpoint, ... But again, the standard can be used as a guide. Describe what exactly you discussed and what actions, if any, need to be taken. A clear report gives a positive impression during the external audit.
