According to ISO 9001:2015 (and related standards: ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, &#8230;) an organization shall determine the processes needed for the quality management system and shall address the risks and opportunities related to these processes. How does one deal with that? By drawing up a turtle diagram!\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-56b74a7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"56b74a7\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-054e743\" data-id=\"054e743\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7954ea5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7954ea5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Turtle diagrams<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9358e1d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9358e1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A turtle diagram is a technique to graphically display a process. This visual tool makes it easy to understand the processes. A process turtle diagram normally identifies inputs, outputs, resources, means, measuring and monitoring and \u2018the how\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><b>Inputs <\/b>includes internal and external customer requirements.<\/p>\n<p><b>Outputs <\/b>covers the process\u2019s results:<\/p>\n<p><ul><li>For a manufacturing process, the outputs include the finished product, statistical data, and other manufacturing-related records, as well as any scrap from the process.<\/li><li>For a system process, this includes information, reports, or data.<\/li><li>For any process, the actual output should represent the satisfaction of customer requirements.<\/li><\/ul><b>Resources <\/b>(or \u2018with what?\u2019) is all about the &#8216;nonhuman&#8217; resources needed to perform the task.<\/p>\n<p><b>Means <\/b>(or \u2018who?\u2019) includes the &#8216;human&#8217; resources needed to complete the process.<\/p>\n<p><b>How <\/b>provides insight into the operational controls required as described e.g. in procedures, instructions, &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><b>Measuring &amp; monitoring<\/b> is a listing of the (key) performance indicators that will indicate the success or failure of the process.<\/p>\n<p>However, you can broaden the scope.
